Littles Wines Australian Businesses
Why choose Littles Wines?
Littles is a ‘small' family-owned vineyard on 400 acres in the picturesque Pokolbin area of the Hunter Valley. The ancient Scottish Kindred roots have been in the Pokolbin area for over five decades, and can trace their descendants in Scotland to the Hunter clan. Our vines were first planted in 1973 and we only use our grapes to produce the finest examples of ‘single vineyard' Hunter Valley wines. Located on a gentle north facing slope at the top of our property, the Lochleven Vineyard takes its name from the Kindred families' ancestral roots in Scotland. The Homestead Vineyard, is as its name suggests, is the site of the original homestead for the Kindred family upon their their purchase of the property. Historically, both vineyards were part of the Pokolbin regions pioneering Daisy Hill winery and vineyard; all were destroyed in the November 1968 bushfire that swept from the Brokenback ranges through to Lovedale. The original sites of the Daisy Hill vineyards were replanted by Edwin Kindred in 1973.
